map(function, sequence, …) => list
Applies function to every item of sequence and returns a list of the results. If additional sequence arguments are passed, function must take that many arguments and is applied to the items of all sequences in parallel; if a sequence is shorter than another, it is padded with None items. If function is None, the identity function is assumed (a function that returns its argument as is); if there are multiple sequence arguments, map returns a list consisting of tuples containing the corresponding items from all sequences (a kind of transpose operation). The sequence arguments may be any kind of iterable sequence; the result is always a list.
